Audience liability is a major part of the risk involved in live videos filmed during concerts. Most crews are experienced and know how to put on a safe, creative production. If the crew wants to get unique shots, such as hanging from the rafters, an underwriter will have concerns and want all the safety plans to review before issuing insurance. The traditional scripted video are a different beast. An underwriter will be concerned with the script topics, clothing, on the set activities, security issues, etc. Be prepared to discuss set and location plans with your broker.

Live Productions are unscripted and many safety issues will be addressed during the underwriting process. Live videos are a fairly simple process, but if the genre enters into rap, punk or metal there will be concerns. Prepare to answer questions about the location details, names of staff and a list of all people allowed on the set. Most claims come from injury and harassment on location. Before you make a big pitch, make sure your project is insurable.
